Director of Children's Church

As the Children Church Director, your job will be to coordinate people and processes to ensure that Children’s Church is delivered on time and children receive the desired results. Your leadership will aid in nurturing and biblical education of children from 2 years old to 5th grade.
Requirements:
  • Has a personal, active and growing relationship with God through Jesus Christ
  • Energetic, warm and able to share the love of Jesus to children, their families, and staff
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Communication and team management skills
  • Familiarity with technology software programs
Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, train and coordinate workers for Children’s Church classes.
  • Help review children curriculum material to verify correct doctrine, age appropriateness, and consistency.
  • Evaluate and provide appropriate feedback regarding child engagement, child groupings, and classroom structure and management.
  • Ensures and monitors classroom resources, supplies, safety protocols and sanitation.
  • Visits classes for the purpose of evaluation and teacher support in order to address any issues or emergencies that arise. Teaches classes as needed.
  • Request and oversee snack donation supply; ensure and delegate distributions of snacks to classrooms. 
  • Oversee and monitor social and play time in the Bridge with teachers. 
  • Provides information to Children & Youth Ministry Heads for the annual budget process.
  • Works collaboratively with Children & Youth Ministry Heads, all staff and volunteers. 
  • Seek opportunities for process improvement and suggest new creative ideas.

Teacher

As a Children’s Church Teacher (or Assistant Teacher), your job will be to plan and teach your lesson to the appropriate class age group. Requirements:
  • Has a personal, active and growing relationship with God through Jesus Christ
  • Energetic, warm and able to share the love of Jesus to children
  • Be available and committed to teach class once a month
  • Excellent organization, communication and time management skills
Responsibilities:
  • Arrive 15 minutes before the class begins and be prepared for the class.
  • Know and greet your children by name (pray for them).
  • Teach the curriculum lesson to students (engaging and creatively).
  • Handle classroom management and interactions with students and parents with love.
  • Oversee and utilize youth volunteers with classroom management, lessons, snacks, and supervision of social and play time in the Bridge. 
  • Inform the Director of Children’s Church regarding any special needs or concerns with class.
  • In case of anticipated absence on any Sundays, please prearrange coverage from another Children’s Church staff teacher. 

Registration/Greeter

As a Children’s Church Registration/Greeter, your job will be to welcome and greet children and families to Children Church.  You will also be responsible for having them scan the QR Code and registering their child(ren) for the service.
Requirements:

  • Has an energetic, warm and loving personality
  • Good organizational skills and pays attention to details
Responsibilities:
  • Arrive at the ministry station by 10:15 a.m. to be ready to help set up classes, move tables, put up banners, etc… in  preparation for CC.
  • Walk through CC areas and look into classes to ensure that children are safe.
  • Monitor hallways and ensure that children are safe if going to the bathroom or getting water and going to and from the bridge area.
  • Monitor dismissal to ensure children/parents are reconnected seamlessly. 
  • Assist with CC breakdown/stacking chairs/taking banners down at the end of the service.
